Erina McWilliam-Lopez from 1623 Studios recently interviewed us for her series "New Wave Economy" which focuses on livelihoods, neighborhoods, and regenerative economic development. We discuss social entrepreneurship and water justice. We were honored to be included and we adore her David Orr quote: "Hope is a verb with its sleeves rolled up"!

We first met Katie ten years ago when she inspired us on our quest for water justice. She has been our water warrior mentor ever since. Yesterday we reunited with Katie at her Lifewater fundraiser with Kat Cynewski. We are in awe of Katie’s ultra endurance challenge to run4water: in September she will run 141 miles, nonstop, across the state of Maine, from the Canadian border to Portland! Mabel wove today’s potholder as a tribute to Katie’s run: “the blue loops are her trail. Every step of blue symbolizes the water she brings to people in need.” We are on day 62 of our potholder pledge to weave a potholder a day to raise awareness and funds for water justice.
