Katie Spotz, trailblazer!

We first met Katie ten years ago when she inspired us on our quest for water justice. She has been our water warrior mentor ever since. Yesterday we reunited with Katie at her Lifewater fundraiser with Kat Cynewski. We are in awe of Katie’s ultra endurance challenge to run4water: in September she will run 141 miles, nonstop, across the state of Maine, from the Canadian border to Portland! Mabel wove today’s potholder as a tribute to Katie’s run: “the blue loops are her trail. Every step of blue symbolizes the water she brings to people in need.” We are on day 62 of our potholder pledge to weave a potholder a day to raise awareness and funds for water justice.

SO proud of you gals!! I've shared my story to many students, but few if ANY have done as. much as you have to fight the good fight, so our friends & neighbors far and wide can have clean water like we do. Just so proud of you and continually inspired by your heart, spirit, generosity, and concern. I just shared your story with a friend yesterday (a crafty gal!) and she, too, was inspired by YOUR story. Who knows how many you've touched with your passion to help others. :)
